General Rules and FAQS while your a Recruit and Marine

Recruits in the 3rd Marines have yet to earn their Eagle Globe and Anchors and do not bare the name Marine until they do so. To accomplish this, recruits must pass our Recruit Training Program called "Boot Camp". In addition to passing Boot Camp, recruits are bound to a few rules while they where the recruit tags and wait for their training to begin.

Very Important!
We lose 90% of our recruits on the very first day of training. In this unit, we expect you to have pre-studied all the material located in the Study Guide BEFORE coming to your first day of training. When it is discovered in the first day of training that you did not study and you are holding back the rest of the class (and we will know very easily if you did not study) you will be dropped from training on the spot. We are not hear to baby sit you. Our Marines have a exceptionally larger role in our unit compared to other units in our community and administrative permissions given to them as soon as they become a Private with us that we cannot take the chance of getting a new Marine who is not self motivated to perform basic tasks such as preparing for their Boot Camp with us.

While A Recruit and in the Delayed Entry Program

- Recruits must call every Marine and other recruit by their rank and then last name.
- Recruits must keep their 3rd Marines steam avatar on at all times
- Recruits must accept and remain in the two official 3rd Marine steam groups they are invited to from IPAC
- Recruits may change their steam game name only if they are in a game the 3rd Marines do not play in
- Recruits are held responsible for their actions over the web and other game servers.
- Recruits who are told to repeatedly fix their game tags/avatar or are insubordinate in other ways may be dropped from training at any time.
- Recruits are not obligated to be present at any training events held by the 3rd Marines but are welcome to.

While A Recruit in Boot Camp
- Recruits must attend every day of their Boot Camp or face being recycled into the next training classes three months away.
- During Boot Camp recruits will call the Drill Instructors "sir" and begin and end every sentence with "sir"
- During Boot Camp recruits will refer to themselves as "this recruit" instead of "I"
- During Boot Camp if the recruit needs to speak without being asked a direct question he will interrupt training by speaking "Sir, this Recruit requests permission to speak sir!" The Drill Instructor will acknowledge you and you may precede to say what it is you have to say.
- Recruits will still call senior Marines (time in service, not rank) by their rank and name for a period of three months after they have finished Boot Camp. This is known as "Boot Phase" and all new Marines must go through it.
